Thistle Dri Coat Plaster 25Kg

Thistle DriCoat is intended for re-plastering after the successful installation of a new damp-proof course (DPC). Walls which have had defective damp proof courses (or none at all) are likely to contain hygroscopic salts, which can continue to be a source of dampness, even after rising damp is prevented, because they absorb atmospheric moisture. Thistle DriCoat is cement-based with waterproofing additives, which restrict the migration of these salts from the background through the plaster and helps to limit any detrimental effect on internal decoration.
Thistle BoardFinish is the recommended skim finish plaster for use over Thistle DriCoat.

• Thistle DriCoat is the only plaster recommended for re-plastering walls following damp-proof course treatment.
• Heavy salt contamination in the background can cause persistent damp problems. Thistle DriCoat should not be used in these situations unless an appropriate survey shows that the risk from salts is minimal.
• Conforms to EN 13279-1.
• Skimming with Thistle MultiFinish adds additional sound insulation to many of the GypWall CLASSIC systems by up to 2dB.
