Paving Advice at Hooton

Our annual Paving Advice Day, at Hooton, proved once again to be a very successful event.
With many offers, and special prices available on day (as well as FREE refreshments), the day was well attended.
The event coincided with the opening of the NEW! 180m2 Paving & Walling Display at the branch, which received 'rave' reviews from the 200, plus visitors on the day.
We thank Allan Fox, Territory Sales Manager for Bradstone, who once again gave his time to the event, to share his advice and knowledge with our customers.
And finally, thanks to all of you who attended and helped, once again to make the day a huge success.
If you missed it, look out for next years Paving Advice Day, or one of the numerous other events held throughout the year at our depots.

Did you know that Beers offers a complete timber machining service to all it s customers.
Not only do we carry one of the extensive stock ranges of machined timbers anywhere in the North West, we can also machine sections to your own bespoke profile.
The first step is to contact your local branch manager with a drawing or sample section of the profile you require.
Often, you will find that we will have machined a similar profile in the past and that we can offer you a short run in the timber of your choice at a competitive price and fast five day turnaround.
If the section is not one of our stock profiles then we will happily grind a new cutter for you.
The service is invaluable to anyone engaged in the restoration of historic buildings or bespoke joinery work. In the past we have provided matches to historic mouldings for Liverpool Town Hall, St. Georges Hall and The Liver Buildings as well as countless period residences throughout the region.

Beers Cafe Open For Business

The long awaited cafe has opened its doors in our Liverpool branch and is proving a huge success.
It's baptism of fire came with our meet the supplier trade show, providing free bacon butties to all, all day.
Since then word has spread and the cafe is now more popular than ever, but what else can you expect with prices as low as they are. A bacon sandwich is only £1.20 and you can get a massive all day breakfast for just £2.50.
There's also an extensive menu of fresh sandwiches, paninis, toasties, burgers, jacket potatoes and more, along with plenty of drinks and other snacks.

Suomi - Tervetuloa Beers...

Between 28th February and 2nd March 2008, Beers Timber & Building Supplies joined colleagues from Stamco of Hastings at the Karelia factory in Kuopio, Finland.
The group comprised two sales staff from each company and four customers. Bill Chamberlain and Charlie McCartney went on behalf of Beers.
The visit included intense product training, introduction to new styles of flooring (including ceramics), followed by a factory tour. However, it was not all hard work. The weekend also involved outdoor activities, including Snow-mobiling.
Accomodation was provided by the hosts, in a typical Scandinavian style house, with a Finnish sauna and swimming pool.
The visit was of benefit to all members in the group, customers and suppliers alike.

New Website Homepage

Welcome to the new version of Beers Online!
Included in the new front page is a host of useful features, including a weather checker for wherever you are or wherever you're working and a branch locator that will point you to you nearest branch from any job. We've also added a google site search to help you locate useful information aside from just products.
We've also included some of our best special offers for you to see at a glance, and most of our monthly specials will now be identified when you're click on a product for details.
On top of that, we've fixed various bugs in the trade term pricing system to make the site more user friendly for account customers and we've made the account application process much clearer.
There's now also an events section, allowing you to keep track of what's happening and where so you can stay involved and get some great free advice and special offers.
Our sister company, Ecowarm, who design and manufacture timber frames and roof trusses, have also unveiled their new site, which can now be accessed using the 'timber frame' link from the main product menu.
